Southern Corsica · Gulf of Sagone
A holiday villa in Sagone, Corsica: four air-conditioned bedrooms, a wide terrace facing the sea, an umbrella pine for shade. The beach is at the bottom of the path, Ajaccio forty minutes away.
The house of three brothers
Guillaume, Julien and Thomas have come here since childhood. When the house passed to them, they renovated it with one idea in mind: holidays made of rest, long meals and playing outside.
The terrace is the heart of the villa. It runs the length of the façade, sheltered by an awning and a stone arch, with the barbecue at one end and the loungers at the other. Eight people eat there without crowding, and the sun sets straight ahead.
See the villaThree beaches, three moods
Sagone beach is a five-minute walk — easy going down, steeper coming back, so save it for the cooler hours. Two more, quite different beaches are under ten minutes by car.
The most family-friendly and the best sheltered when the sea gets up. Ringo rides, jet-ski hire and parascending on site.
Livelier: bodyboarding and surfing when there's swell, beach-volleyball nets, paddleboards for hire and restaurants right on the sand.
The wildest. At the river mouth, a freshwater stretch where you can hire paddleboards and canoes. Park at the beach shack.
Inside
The kitchen opens onto the living room and the garden. Marble worktop, a bar for four, every appliance — and enough equipment to cook for eight without hunting for a single utensil.
